What do we offer?
Our course is a City & Guilds Level 2 qualification and is benchmarked at the same level as a GCSE A-C grade. The course is approximately 50% classroom-based and 50% practical, and also includes a certain amount of home study that takes approximately four hours per week.
The course has a maximum of 12 students at a time, so that each student gets enough guidance & tuition from our tutors and passes the course with all of the required knowledge and understanding. It also allows students to ask all of the questions they may have and to get plenty of one-to-one instruction.
This course is the first step to become a qualified electrician, more specifically a Gold card holder under the JIB scheme. The course covers basics such as: fitting a back box, using a drill & raw plugs through to fitting simple lighting circuits, ring final circuits and consumer units.
This qualification also allows you to work on building sites, as well as domestic, commercial and industrial settings as an improver/electrician’s mate, and further allows you to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma before becoming a fully qualified electrician. If that sounds like something you would wish to pursue in the future, feel free to check out our Level 3 Diploma or our full Gold Electrical Training Course package.
