What is CAP | CBWA

What is CAP at CBWA?

CBWA is an independent training provider delivering various construction qualifications.
The CAP unit works closely with Coventry Council and schools in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas.
We offer City and Guilds 6219 Multi Construction Skills Level 1, from Award to Diploma, for 14-16 year olds.
Also CSCS card if Diploma is reached.

Who comes here?

We currently have a mix of male/female students with varying academic abilities who come mainly once a week. We deliver individual programmes for all levels including SEN students.

Construction Skills

Students here have an opportunity to practice in a safe environment - everyone can try bricklaying, tiling, carpentry, plastering, painting and decorating. Health & Safety and teamwork in the workshop underpins our daily practice.
We encourage learning by hands-on experiences and we promote individual SMART targets in the workshop.
Theory work is in a classroom setting, some of which is written, some is groupwork and includes discussing British Values. We also offer 1-2-1 where we work on a students SPAG and functional skills.
