Course Description

For those who wish to be trained with the necessary knowledge to be able to complete basic work & DIY projects, or to make their first steps into the trade, this course is for you! With your personal work area and seasoned advice from our experienced professionals on how to execute key tiling techniques, you will be guaranteed a professional, high-end finish to each and every one of your tiling works.

This course introduce you to the tiling trade and teaches you all the basic skills through hands-on tiling training. In our approved training centre, you will gain experience in all aspects of wall and floor tiling, ensuring you can start and finish tiling work the correct way, without paying a significant amount of money to tiling tradesmen.

When training, we use the latest tools and materials, from the likes of BAL, Weber, RUBI, Montolit. Throughout the course we use different tiles and patterns to help build up your skills and knowledge.

Providing a memorable & highly personal experience to our students is what matters most. That is why the course has a maximum of 8 students at a time, so that each student gets enough guidance and tuition from our tutors, and you pass the course with all of the required knowledge and understanding. This allows you to ask all questions on your mind and get plenty of one-to-one instruction.

As training providers, another important thing for us is that, by the end of the course, we will have built your skillset to start doing your own work and projects. To ensure that, we employ only the best tutors: friendly & professional tradespeople who have decades of trade experience. Therefore, our tutors have up to date industry knowledge and lots of experience in training people and can pass on all of the expertise and site experience to our learners.

Course Content

Schedule & Duration:

5 days in a single week (9:00am – 4:30pm, breaks included)
2 consecutive weekends (8:30am – 5:30pm, breaks included)

Equipment & Facilities

We provide you with your own work area & equipment (gear & tools included except safety boots which you need, can bring your own tools if preferred)

You will have access to:

Parking

We are located in CV7 9NH, just off the M6 motorway and close to several food places and hotels nearby.

What happens after?

Upon completion of the course, we offer an in-house Certificate of Competence from our approved training centre. As training providers the most important thing for us is that by the end of the course we are going to give you the skills and knowledge your own tiling work. You will learn how to tile floors and walls or to design difficult tiling work. When the tiling is completed, you will have been trained on all aspects of basic tiling skills.

If you choose to pursue a career path in tiling, following your course, you will need a CSCS card to have access and work on a building site. To obtain a CSCS card, you must pass the Health & Safety CSCS test.

For CSCS card training, and Health & Safety courses for CSCS, feel free to check out our 1 Day Site Safety Course (CSCS test incl.). However, for pursuing a career in tiling right from the very beginning, we would instead recommend hopping on our Level 2 Tiling Course, which goes in depth to the theoretical side of tiling, giving you more valuable knowledge of the trade as a whole, alongside loads of practical experience! The Level 1 Tiling course is also a great option, as it goes in depth to the more advanced side of tiling, however it remains beginner-friendly and accessible to working adults due to lasting only 10 days, which is plenty of time to gain deeper knowledge of the trade, alongside loads of practical experience!
