Level 2 Tiling

This Level 2 Tiling course is specifically designed for people looking for a full time career in wall and floor tiling. The course is a mix of both theory and practical, and covers all sub surfaces and how to prepare and tile on them using different types of tiles and using all different types of patterns. Upon completion of this course, you will be fully qualified and able to either go and work full time on site or set up your own business in wall and floor tiling.

Course Description

This City & Guilds Level 2 industry recognised tiling qualification is specifically designed for beginners. The course encompasses the knowledge & skills required to work as a tiler or set up your own business.

From mastering fundamental tiling techniques to understanding advanced concepts, our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to enhance your existing skills, this course is your pathway to a rewarding career in tiling. The course will also grant you the technical skill & knowledge needed to further apply for a NVQ Level 2, and then for a blue CSCS card to work on site as a full time tiler. 

This course is a City & Guilds Level 2 qualification and is benchmarked at the same level as a GCSE A-C grade. The course is approximately 25% classroom-based and 75% practical, and also includes a certain amount of home study that takes approximately two hours per week.  With us, it can also be completed in two week blocks that can be booked throughout the year to give you as much flexibility as possible.   

Our Level 2 Tiling course, designed by professionals, uses BAL and Weber products along with RUBI and Montolit tools. Train in a dedicated tiling work area with experienced instructors who will build your confidence and provide the professional skills and knowledge needed for a successful tiling career.

Course Content

Schedule & Duration:

  • 8 weeks Monday – Friday (9:00am – 4:30pm, breaks included)

The initial date you book online will be for your practical module. This course can be completed in two week blocks. The dates for the blocks can be booked throughout the year to give you as much flexibility as possible.

Equipment & Facilities

We provide you with your own tiling work area & equipment (materials & tools included except safety boots which you need)

You will have access to:

  • Kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave etc.)
  • Free tea & coffee
  • On-site vending machines
  • Parking

We are located in CV7 9NH, just off the M6 motorway and close to several food places and hotels nearby.

Diploma

To achieve the Level 2 Diploma in Wall and Floor Tiling (6710-23), learners must complete the following units: 201, 202, 231, 232, 233 and 234.

Units 201 and 202 are theory-based units, and will take approximately two weeks of study time (with extra time allocated for home study and exam preparation). These two units are a fundamental part of this qualification, and must be completed and passed prior to certification.  Units 201 and 202 are assessed by an online exam set by City & Guilds.

The course also has a maximum of 10 students at a time so that each student gets enough guidance and tuition from our tutors, ensuring you complete the course with all of the required knowledge and understanding. It allows you to ask questions on your mind and get plenty of one-to-one tuition throughout the course.
