What do we offer?
This qualification is designed solely for individuals who have been working in the electrotechnical industry as a practicing electrician in dwellings for a minimum of 3 years full time (not including time spent in education or training) and possess specified knowledge, understanding and competence as outlined in the TESP skills scan (aligned to the Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings qualification).
It forms part of the requirements for the Domestic Electrician Experienced Worker Assessment, together with the AM2ED (outside of the qualification), enabling the experienced worker to apply for an ECS Domestic Electrician gold card.
Prior to embarking on this industry route and qualification, applicants MUST complete the TESP Skills Scan and the TESP Candidate Background document – to ensure the applicant is suitable for this qualification and a genuine experienced worker.
This qualification is NOT suitable for new entrants to the electrotechnical industry, apprentices, or those who have completed an electrotechnical technical qualification with less than 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Learners MUST possess as a minimum a L2 qualification as detailed in the TESP skills scan.
