What happens after?

Upon completion, this City & Guilds Level 2 industry recognised course will grant you an extremely wide and complete understanding of the skills and knowledge required on how to start working as a carpenter, as the course is specifically designed for students with little to no experience. Most students leave this course and go on site to get experience working alongside a team of carpenters and gain site experience.  In order to do this you must get a CSCS card, you will start off with a green card and need to then gain site experience and pass your NVQ2 before applying for a blue card.

To obtain a CSCS card, you must pass the Health & Safety CSCS test. Check out our 1 Day Site Safety Course (CSCS Test incl.).

If you do not wish to pursue a career in carpentry, or if the theoretical side of this course is not for you, but you still wish to learn carpentry for your DIY projects, add another trade to your skillset or home renovations, please consider our Intensive Carpentry Course! It covers the most important techniques of the basic practical skills needed to complete bricklaying projects and is 100% hands-on.
